Stratford, ON | Stratford-Perth Pride is excited to announce the return of Pride month programming – including the newly named Perth County Pride March.

In replacement of the Stratford Pride Parade, the Perth County Pride March invites all citizens from Stratford, St. Marys, Perth County and beyond to participate. The march will take place on Sunday, June 5 and start at 1pm. The walking route will be from the Tom Patterson Theatre to Upper Queen’s Park (approx. 1.5km).
“From banning conversion therapy to removing the blood ban, we have seen the recent success of queer-led protest and advocacy but more still needs to be done and that’s why we’re calling it a march rather than a parade,” says AJ Adams, president of Stratford-Perth Pride, “in addition to fighting homophobia and transphobia in our communities, as a rural area there are significant gaps in LGBQ2S+ social and health services”.

Stratford-Perth Pride encourages the attendees to wear their favourite rainbow colours and bring signs to the march on LGBTQ2S+ topics that they would like to see action on. This can include anything from “no more homophobia” to “it’s time to invest in gender-affirming care”.

People and organizations from all walks of life are welcome to join the march. In addition to seeing LGBTQ2S+ community members participate, Stratford-Perth Pride strongly encourages participation from local service providers, businesses and community leaders such as politicians and faith leaders.

Stratford-Perth Pride encourages folks to sign-up for the march so they have an estimate of the participation. Learn more at
